Intervenção terapêutica ocupacional em uma creche da cidade do Recife / Occupational therapy intervention in a child day care center of Recife

A atuação do terapeuta ocupacional na Educação se iniciou no sistema de educação especial, restringindo-se àcriança com deficiência. Com a expansão dos campos de atuaçãoda Terapia Ocupacional, o objetivo de intervenção passou a ser a promoção do desenvolvimento integral, atendendo qualquer criança inserida neste contexto, de forma a incluir todos os atores do processo de aprendizagem. O objetivo deste artigo é descrevero processo terapêutico ocupacional de crianças com dificuldade na aprendizagem em idade pré-escolar, atendidas em uma creche da cidade do Recife, a partir da análise de documentos registrados de março a dezembro de 2011. A análise dos documentos inclusos na pesquisa mostrou que as ações envolveram intervenção com as crianças, individualmente e em grupo, e orientação aos familiares e educadores, buscando maior envolvimento de todos a fi m de alcançar um melhor desempenho escolar das crianças. The role of the occupational therapist in education started in the special education system, restricting itself tothe disabled child. With the expansion of the fields of activity of Occupational Therapy, the goal of intervention is now the promotion of integral development, if any child placed in this context, to include all stakeholders in the learning process. The purpose of this article is to describe the occupational therapyprocess for children with learning diffi culties in pre-school age, from a daycare center in Recife, from the analysis of filings from March to December 2011. The analysis of the documents includedin the survey showed that the actions involved intervention with children individually and in groups, and guidance to families and educators seeking greater involvement of all in order toachieve a better school performance of children.
